Ginger Beck
I am an ordained minister, and my credentials are on file at the Pope County Court House, Glenwood, Minnesota. I have served as both a hospital and nursing home chaplain, and for ten years was pastor of a church (UCC). But weddings are my favorite thing that I do! I live in west central Minnesota, but am happy to travel statewide to perform marriage ceremonies. Besides Glenwood, other locations have included Alexandria, Sauk Centre, Morris, St. Cloud, Starbuck, Sauk Rapids, Brainerd, Breezy Point, and Willmar.
I am very non-rigid in my theology and practice as a minister and wedding officiant. I honor all paths, whether traditional, contemporary, spiritual or secular (or any combination thereof).
When a couple hires me to be their officiant, my focus is to help them design a ceremony of their own unique creation – using words of their choosing, incorporating any rituals, readings, and/or special music desired. My goal is that each bride and groom experiences the wedding of their dreams. I have assisted many couples in achieving and enjoying their ideal wedding ceremony, and many have been good enough to recommend me to others.
I encourage an initial meeting, both to make sure the couple considers me a good fit for them, and to begin to get their thoughts and ideas about the ceremony. However, in some cases I have officiated weddings in which it was the case that I did not meet the couple until the rehearsal or their wedding day. And yet all goes well because whether or not we are able to meet in person beforehand, much of the communication and crafting of the service is done via email and phone conversations. I am happy to offer input and advice, but the final say always belongs to the couple.

As a little girl I always dreamed of my wedding day, and I feel so lucky that the day was every thing I dreamed of, and more. We were lucky enough to be able to plan our wedding ceremony in less than 3 months. There was no real rush to get married, but we decided the time was right so why wait! Ginger did such a wonderful job and was so flexible in anything we needed. We did a lot of our communication via email and the responses were always very prompt. She sent various examples and gave us suggestions of things that we should consider, but never once pressured us into anything. Ginger officiated our wedding this Fall (2013) in Brainerd, MN. Her willingness to travel to Brainerd was greatly appreciated and certainly not expected. However, she didn’t even bat an eye at this.
